about Melissa

I’m Melissa, the founder of Vitalavida.

A few years ago, I moved from the Netherlands to Spain to build the kind of training environment I had always imagined. Not a crowded gym where people are left to train on their own, but a place where people are coached, supported, and truly seen while they work on becoming stronger and healthier.

Coaching has always been the part of training that I care about most. I enjoy being close to the training floor, observing how people move, giving feedback during a set, and helping someone realise they are capable of more than they thought.

Over time, I’ve seen how powerful strength training can be. When people start to move better and trust their bodies again, their confidence grows both inside and outside the gym.

That is exactly what I want Vitalavida to be about.

Through personal training, small group coaching, and retreats, I focus on creating an environment where people feel supported, guided, and motivated to take care of their bodies. My goal is not just to help people work out, but to help them move better, feel stronger, and build confidence in what their bodies can do.

At Vitalavida, sessions are intentionally kept small so that everyone receives real coaching and personal attention. Whether someone joins for personal training, small group sessions, or a retreat, the focus is always on quality coaching and sustainable progress.

FAQ

Is it a “club” I have to fit into?

No. It’s not a social filter and not a prestige club.
People come here for themselves, to become stronger, fitter, and more energetic. The atmosphere is open, respectful, and safe. You don’t have to belong to anything — you just get to be yourself.

It’s more expensive than a regular gym… is it worth it?

If you’re only looking for equipment: no.
If you’re looking for results, personal coaching, attention, structure, and accountability: absolutely.

You’re not paying for access, you’re paying for guidance and progress.

What should I wear or bring?

Just wear something comfortable. You won’t be working out, this session is all about talking, understanding where you’re at, and making a plan that feels good.

What kind of people train here?

Vitalavida is an international community.
Our members come from different countries and backgrounds, Spanish, English, Dutch, and other nationalities. What they have in common? They consciously choose quality, personal coaching, and a vital lifestyle.

We speak three languages: English, Spanish, and Dutch. Depending on the group, the language adapts naturally, and often languages flow seamlessly together. That makes training here not only effective, but enriching, you learn from each other, inspire each other, and feel at home quickly.

Will I really get better results than in a regular gym?

Yes, because you’re not left on your own here.

You train with a plan, under guidance, in small groups or one-on-one. We measure progress, adjust when needed, and make sure you move forward every week. That’s the difference.

What if I’ve never worked with a trainer before?

That’s actually most of our clients. This isn’t a bootcamp or a gym class, it’s a private setting where you can ask questions and feel supported, not judged.
